Instant Messaging and Contact Lists

You maintain a list of people you contact frequently in your contact list. VIA3 automatically shows whether each person is currently online, actively using their computer, or in a meeting. This enables you to see if the person you want to talk to is available to chat.

A simple question may be answered by exchanging Instant Messages. You can add other people to the instant message conversation at any time, or with a single click, turn it into a meeting and leverage rich meeting tools such as audio, video and application sharing.

Just like everything else in VIA3, your instant messages are encrypted ensuring your privacy. The administrator may enable archiving of instant messages for all or some of the users on the account.
