Follow these steps to verify your microphone is working correctly:
- Is your microphone plugged into the proper jack on your computer?
- Was the microphone detected properly during the Audio Adjustment Wizard (Located under the Tools menu: Tools > Audio Adjustment Wizard?)
- If you are using a headset, it may have a mute switch on the cord; is the microphone muted?
- If your microphone is properly plugged into your computer and it does not detect during the Audio Adjustment Wizard, please call Client Services.
Follow these steps to verify your speakers (or headset) are working correctly:
- Is your headset plugged into the proper jack on your computer? Plug the jack of the headset into the same plug that your computer’s speakers are normally plugged into.
- Does the headset have a volume control? Is this volume set too low?
- If you’re using external speakers, are they turned on? Is the volume set to low on your speakers?
Follow these steps to optimize your microphone level to reduce echo:
- From the Tools Menu select the Tools > Audio Adjustment Wizard.
- The microphone in the camera should be automatically discovered; if it is not, please select it from the drop-down list.
- Adjust the microphone sensitivity so that the audio level meter just reaches the yellow zone when speaking normally.
- Complete the wizard.
If you continue to experience echo or other audio problems, please contact Client Services.
