Select Layout

The Select Meeting Layout window will prompt you to select either Multitask Layout, or Classic Layout.

• Multitask Layout attaches the meeting window to the left of applications and documents, and automatically repositions any desktop icons underneath, so they are not obscured.

• Classic Layout sets the meeting window to "float" above your applications and documents. Please note that you must make a selection and click OK at the bottom of the window before you can proceed into the meeting.

To change your current layout selection:

1. From the VIA3 Meeting Window select View>Select Layout.

2. The Select Meeting Layout window will appear, showing which layout you currently have selected. Click the empty button to change to the alternate layout option.

3. Click OK to accept the changes, or Cancel to leave your current selection as-is. Changes made take effect immediately.

The Multitask Layout is very useful in that once set, the Meeting Window cannot be covered or minimized, so you will always be able to see the video windows of all meeting participants, regardless of how many other windows are opened throughout the course of the meeting. The Meeting Window cannot be minimized while in the Multitask Layout, but you can always switch the window back to Classic Layout by moving it away from the Multitask position.

Note:  When your Meeting Layout is set to Multitask, you can quickly change back to Classic Layout by dragging the window away from the left side of the screen, and dropping it anywhere on your desktop.
