People Pane

The People Pane is divided into three tabs, the "Myself" tab, the "In" tab and the Out tab. The People Pane can be turned on or off by selecting View>People on the meeting menu.

 

Myself

The "Myself" tab displays your video image as well as check boxes for your audio and video. A green check mark within the box represents the on position for both audio and video.

My Audio - My Video Check Boxes

My Audio and My Video check boxes are provide as a quick and easy way to turn on/off your audio and video signals. A green check mark represents the on position and a blank check box represents the off position.

 

In

The "In" tab displays the names of the individuals who are in the current meeting and the meeting role they have been assigned (Host or Presenter). Members with the Audience Role are not displayed on this tab.

 

Out

Out tab displays those who are invited but have not yet joined, or have left.

 

General Guidance

When you right-click on a name in the People Pane, you will have various menu options, depending upon your role in the VIA3 Meeting they are as follows:

Host Role (the original host who started the meeting)

If you are a Host and a right-click context menu on a user with the Host role shows that your options are:

 

If you are a Host a right-click context menu on a user with the Presenter role shows that your options are:

 

Presenter Role

If you are a Presenter a right-click context menu on a user with the Host role shows that your options are:

 

If you are a Presenter a right-click context menu on a user with the Presenter role shows that your options are:

 

Audience Role

If you are an Audience member a right-click context menu on any user shows that your options are:

 

 

Warning:  If a Presenter is promoted to the role of Host, that person cannot then change the Role of the original Host of the VIA3 Meeting.
