Live View in VIA3 is an application viewing tool that has the additional capability of enabling application sharing. With Live View, two or more users can see the same application and if needed share control of that application.

The Viewing capability allows meeting participants to show anything that may be open on their desktop to others in the meeting.  The Sharing capability not only allows another meeting participant to view what is on a participant’s desktop, but also control it remotely when given permission.

Starting a Live View session in VIA3 is as easy as clicking the New Live View icon on the Meeting Window toolbar. A "New Live View" window will appear and prompt you to select one of three available display options:

  1. Show or share your full screen - Displays the entirety of your visible desktop with the exception of "docked applications" like the VIA3 Meeting Manager window.

  2. Show or share a part of your screen - Displays a specific portion of your desktop in a window that you can move and resize according to your needs.

  3. Show or share an application - Displays an application of your choice.
