Audio/Video Properties - Video Tab

 The Video Tab displays your automatic settings, your video size settings and provides access to the capture still image tool. To change your automatic video settings for this and future meetings, simply check or un-check the boxes that match your preferred settings.

  1. The Automatically send my video when joining a meeting setting, if checked, will automatically begin transmitting your video signal to other meeting participants as soon as you join a meeting.

  2. The Automatically receive video from people joining the meeting setting, if checked, will automatically play others’ video signal to you as soon as you are in the meeting and they are transmitting video.

  3. The Video Device selection box allows you to choose your preferred video capture device (camera) if you have more than one connected to your computer. If you have only one camera, it is acceptable to leave this on the “Auto Select” default option.

  4. The Send high quality video check box allows you to increase the quality of your video (sent to others) by a factor of four  (4x). This 4x increase in quality will cause 4x increase in: the bandwidth used by video; the number of pixels displayed and the amount of CPU utilized (CPU dedicated to processing video).

Size:

To adjust the size of the video display windows in the Video window and to retain this size for future meetings, select the desired size.

  1. Half (50% of standard size)

  2. Small (100%, default size)

  3. Medium (150% of standard size)

  4. Large (200% of standard size)

  5. Auto Size (Automatically resizes the video windows relative to the width of your VIA3 Meeting Window)

 

Video Image:

The Capture Screen button allows you to select an area on your screen or an open picture that you wish to display to others during a meeting when your live video feed is disabled. The Delete Image button deletes the Screen Capture image.

 

To capture a still image:

  1. From the Video Tab, click on the Capture Screen button, the Still Image Capture Window will appear.

  2. Move your mouse to the Title Bar, click and move the Capture Window to the desired location.

  3. Click the Capture Now button.

  4. Click the OK button, the image is now stored and will be displayed when you disable your video signal.

 

 The Camera Settings button only appears if you are in an active VIA3 Meeting. The configuration options available will vary depending on camera model and operating system. For details on your specific options, please consult your camera’s Owner’s Manual.
